GTA 5 Expanded and Enhanced Edition: An Upgraded Version!

GTA 5 Expanded and Enhanced Edition: An Upgraded Version!

GTA 5 expanded and enhanced is one of the most popular games in the world, and it’s coming out with an Expanded and Enhanced Edition. With an entirely new game mode called “Heists,” having two new characters, Franklin and Michael, and more than 100 hours of additional gameplay, The Grand Theft Auto V Expanded and Enhanced Edition is the perfect way to experience all that this game has to offer. This article will give you a complete rundown on what it includes, some of the newest updates, and how to get it.

The version for Sony’s PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X/S is more enhanced than a remastered version; it still uses the original version’s storyline but with better graphics, improved sound, and even more additional content. The current generation consoles’ version is the “enhanced” edition with all add-ons. This was released on October 25th, 2018, two days earlier on the PC. It is $79.99 as a part of the box set or $59.99 separately, while if you want to play GTA 5 expanded and enhanced Online with others, you need to pay an additional $10.

The Story Experience!

Story-wise, it is the same as the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions but has better animations, textures, and models. In addition, it has improved lighting, facial detail, and even more weapons. But there are some bad points to it, such as the game lags heavily at specific points, probably due to optimizing issues, but if you have a better PS4 Pro or an Xbox One X, it will eliminate this lag. If you’ve played the previous version, then everything is still there with a few changes, but they haven’t changed anything vital in the story so if you want to play it, then do so.

Improvements to the Single Player!

They’ve added in more guns and weapons, a few missions have been reworked, and new vehicles and clothing items exist. Some more optional side missions take you on to Bohan and Paleto Bay, which aren’t present in the original version, and it also has some new missions that aren’t present in the original edition. If you’ve played the previous version, then all of the basic gameplay mechanics have been added, but if you want to play it, I would only re-play it if you want to see all the new items and vehicles.

Improvements for GTA Online!

iFruit has now disappeared and been replaced by iMOKO phones. They’ve added a new type of melee weapon that works similarly to baseball bats, pipe bombs, etc. There are also more clothing items, such as purple sweaters, shirts, etc. There are also more Adversary modes; they’ve added new Adversary missions that pit you against each other in an objective-based mode; if you like playing GTA Online, then you’ll be satisfied with this version as this is a good improvement.

They’ve added in some new races, such as drag races. Still, they are played on a PCJ 600 and require a helicopter to get to the starting point, so the game has now been improved drastically to reflect how it was initially intended and how it would work. There are a few more weapons that people can use, and there are melee weapons, similar to baseball bats, pipe bombs, etc.

Technical Upgrades!

Now the PC version supports 4K resolutions, 8K textures, and a higher resolution for overall graphics. It also has even more artifacts as well as improved water effects. The game will use Unreal Engine 3, which is quite old now but still has a lot of potentials to be discovered. So, Rockstar will use this to their advantage rather than using last-generation technology that’ll slow down gameplay, and nothing impressive will be able to be produced.

If you have a PC capable of running GTA 5 expanded and enhanced, you can upgrade it to play the game in 4K resolutions, 8K textures, and a higher resolution for overall graphics. It is a good thing because it’ll extend the game’s lifetime and make Rockstar earn more money out of this game in the long run.

It is also one of the benefits and many negatives with this version because some people have to buy new graphics cards. In contrast, they could’ve improved the original version even more if they wanted to, but I guess they just wanted to get their money’s worth from their customers before everybody moved on to next-gen consoles.

Story and World

The main story remains the same as the original version but has some minor changes here and there. Also, if you played the previous version, you will notice that they’ve added a few new side missions to the game, most of which are optional.

The world is similar to GTA 4, but with more of an artistic touch; this goes without saying because every GTA title has improved graphics in every iteration of a game series. So if you’ve played GTA 4 and liked it, it’s better if you play it because it has even better graphics than GTA 4 and is a bit cleaner and better looking than the original version.

Arcade (GTA Online & Story) and Online Heists

If you’ve played the previous version, then all of the basic gameplay mechanics have been added, so you don’t need to play it again, and if you want to play it, do so.

I want to point out that they haven’t put much work into this version regarding the Online Heist missions, but Rockstar has released a new kind of online multiplayer mode called “Arcade.” So you can go in first-person mode and follow in Michael’s footsteps as he plays other players playing the same game.

The GTA Online Experience

The GTA Online experience is the same as the original version but with minor changes. If you’ve played it, you won’t find any difference between these two versions, but if you’ve wanted to play it, you might as well get this one even though there isn’t much difference between them.

Conclusion

Overall, the game is good, but it could’ve been better if they improved the graphics and added more stuff for free online content and future DLCs and updates.
